Thruxton

I never used to understand the relationships that people made between their motorcycles and freedom. I used to think it was some kind of hokey, cult kool-aid drinking American patriotism thing. (It probably is for a lot of people.) But now I get it. Riding makes me free. Not in some kind of political freedom sense, but in being out in the wind, closer to the scenes that roll by. When I travel, I’m not watching television. I’m a part of the space I slide through. And I am free.

Seattle traffic, however, is a different story.


Self critique: I really like how this show came out. Another iPhone 3GS shot, this time using some effects from Photoshop Mobile. The extra faux depth-of-field afforded by the vignette blur brings back fond memories of my former style on my old Olympus OM-2 35mm camera. I should really dust that sucker off…
